001 Shot Fired [text; action for Rocket Base]
I'm going to list a series of words.
If they are at all familiar to you please respond otherwise dismiss this.
Cold War
Spetsnaz
Lyndon B. Johnson
Nikita Khrushchev
Tselinoyarsk
[About an hour later on the Rocket frequency:]
My name is Adamska. Code name Ocelot. Call me either. I'm a GRU Major if that means anything to any of you.
I would like to speak with whomever is in charge here.

Curiosity, mostly.
[And he can vague right back.]

I wanted to see if it sounded familiar to anyone else. From the same world as opposed to a different one. Or at the very least a version of the world I know.
[ text ]
[ text ]
What I'm saying is I don't think everyone who finds themselves here is from the same world as I know it and my terms were a checklist to see who would know. Four of them are fairly generic; the fifth specifies it down to only my world precisely.
[ text ]
You must be the calmest of the people who's ever been brought here. Most people spend their time freaking out and wanting to get home.
[ text ]
I won't say I don't want to return home because I do, but I've made something of a career out of dealing with bad situations.
[ text ]
Good to be resourceful anyway. A cool head is a lot more useful than getting worked up.
[ text ]
Losing your head is a good way to get killed.
[ text ]
[ text ]
There are things to be done if I get back home.
[ text ]
I've got things to do, too.
Don't die, finish what you have to.
[ text ]
[ text ]
Almost a year.
[ The safe answer. ]
[ text ]
We live the same sort of life.
[ text ]
I know about historical facts, sure, and we both might be resourceful, but that doesn't mean we lead the same sort of life.
You don't know a thing about me.
[ text ]
My mistake.
[ text ]
So, care to tell me why you're obsessed with specific parts in history, especially a Russian politician?
[ text ]
As near as I can tell, no one else is.
[ text ]
[ text ]
Two years after, to be precise.

I'm not surprised to hear that the world is constantly on the verge of war. It sounds like business as usual to me.
[ text ]
But the world I know has an economy that is fueled by constant war. Proxy wars fought by mercenaries who have no stakes in it safe for making money.
Not the best place to come from.
[ text ]
What the hell happened to cause the world to collapse in fifty years?
[Was it the Philosophers? It was the Philosophers, wasn't it.]
