001 Shot Fired [text; action for Rocket Base]
I'm going to list a series of words.
If they are at all familiar to you please respond otherwise dismiss this.
Cold War
Spetsnaz
Lyndon B. Johnson
Nikita Khrushchev
Tselinoyarsk
[About an hour later on the Rocket frequency:]
My name is Adamska. Code name Ocelot. Call me either. I'm a GRU Major if that means anything to any of you.
I would like to speak with whomever is in charge here.

In the meantime, I have enough authority within the organization to answer at least some of the questions you may have.

My orders often come by way of telegram as it is. Or did, at any rate. I'd like to know what is expected of me. I know what the booklet says but I would prefer to hear it from someone knowledgeable.
My one real caveat is this: I am a soldier. Unpleasantness is a fact of life and I have done whatever the mission requires of me. I don't understand the significance of petty thievery.

However, I'm a soldier myself, and I've been here long enough that I don't have to rely on such things anymore. I take far more interesting missions, and I hand out several others; it's far easier to carry out the sort of thing I prefer doing with others than it is on my own.
In other words, I may have work for you from time to time, should you want it.

[But that doesn't change the fact that he thinks it's fucking stupid.
Thinks the guy who literally helped a country steal billions of dollars from another country. And plans for a walking nuclear tank.
Ocelot, your choices.]
I'm listening.
no subject
So yes, it's fucking stupid, but sometimes you have to kiss ass.]
Do you have a particular specialty?
no subject
You could say I enjoy playing the long con.
I have training in codebreaking, though the technology is probably severely dated. I also have knowledge in weaponry. Mostly guns but I know a little about explosives as well.
no subject
However, explosives are fair game, and if you're as good as you say with your other skills, it's safe to assume you're a quick study and I doubt the technology will be much of a problem.
It's 1915 where I came from, for reference, and I'm managing just fine despite our technology apparently being backwards even by that year's standards.

They were antiques so the loss is actually rather irritating. I'm sure I'll find something, though. These Pokemon, though, are interesting. I was given some sort of ghost and a lizard that spits fire.
So weapons aren't allowed but a baby monster is. Not that I'm complaining.
That would be World War I in my own world. Technology has improved some, but there's still nothing like what's here.
no subject
I think I know what world you're talking about, if that's the case; it's not my own, either way. I know a few things about it, however; I assume that you're working for the Soviet Union at this point?
private;
But like I said, I play the long con.
My true employers would be the enemy of the Soviet Union. There's no better spy for one country than the national of another.
private;
Until then, I'll be sure to keep in touch if I have any assignments for you, Major Ocelot. There's not much sense in leaving trained soldiers bored out of their minds.
Should you need me for anything further, my name is Solf J Kimblee; I'm a State Alchemist for the Amestrian military, which I doubt means much to you. I'm a Beta in this organization, however, which will likely mean a good deal more in the weeks to come.
