003 Shots Fired
I realized something the other day. My birthday came and went without my noticing. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but the jump in time makes something like birthdays a bit odd to say the least. I should be seventy according to the calender. For those who are from further back in time than I, that dissonance only gets worse.
Incidentally, my birth coincides with something from my world known as the Normandy landings. A few years after the fall of France during the second World War, the Allies concocted a plan to free the nation from the hold of the Nazis. This incident has become known as D-Day, from the military term to indicate on what day an attack will happen. It is one of the most well known examples to the point where many Americans are probably not aware of other D-Days unless they are familiar with the way the military works.
D-Day was not a sweeping victory. The Allies lost more men than the Germans, but it was the boost that the Allies needed to start to reclaim land lost in the war. Everything about the mission had been carefully planned. The specific date was even chosen because it was a full moon and tides would be high. Had the order been given to delay the mission, the world might have become a very different place.
[After that history lesson, he fires off a message locked to Demyx and Schludig.]
I believe the three of us should work together on something. Call it leaving our mark on this region. Are you two interested?

I believe if we can find access to materials to create explosives, we could go so far as to bring a gym out of commission. Of not a gym, maybe a major landmark. We won't destroy the entire building, but if we play our cards right, they won't soon forget it. If not explosives, I'm sure something like a smoke grenade could cause enough confusion that we could attack that way as well.
I'm trained in codebreaking. I could help create a cipher. We'll give our players a riddle to indicate how to crack the cipher which will lead them either directly or indirectly to the false location.
That is if the people here are capable of cracking the code. If not, they'll be in for a nasty surprise when the time limit ticks down to zero.
[locked to idiot brigade]
Which players are you hoping for?

There's a very serious fellow who doesn't quite seem to believe everything that happening. He seems to have trouble with the idea of time travel and the concept of other worlds if his activity since I've arrived here is anything to go by.
He strikes me as the sort of person who needs to go on a wild goose chase. I don't have anyone else specifically in mind. There are plenty of naive, idealistic sorts here who need to be reminded that the world isn't as cheerful as they think it is. Can't let them think they can save the world every time.
[Because that's not insane or anything.]

Well, this presents a dilemma, doesn't it. Does Schuldig really want to share one of his playthings, or is this interesting enough of a game to warrant dragging him in for the shitshow, anyway?
Decisions, decisions.]
He's not the type to sit around and wait for a code to be broken, if he can solve the problem with his fists.
But that doesn't mean there aren't other ways of getting him in.
[locked to idiot brigade]
Do you have something in mind?
[locked to idiot brigade]
Maybe he'll be able to figure out your little riddle because I'm helping him solve it.
[locked to idiot brigade]
It won't be any fun if it's incomprehensible, after all. Little hints here and there will make it more interesting, not less.
[locked to idiot brigade]
'Cause if there's no objections, I'm still listening.
[locked to idiot brigade]
Maybe we should ask one of the superiors for advice.
