I mentioned being born on D-Day, but I didn't mention what that involved.

When the Nazis started conquering most of Europe, America didn't get involved until very late into the way. The reason they entered the war at all was because Japan, an ally of Germany, attacked a naval base.

What I didn't mention in my story was how a group of five individuals were the ones to lead the charge. The leader of this group was a woman known as The Joy. At the time, she was nine months pregnant but she still stormed the shores despite being heavily pregnant.

She went into labor there on the battlefield while thousands of her allies were being shot and gave herself a cesarean. Conditions were not sanitary, and by all logic she should have bled to death and her child should have perished, but both mother and child survived the battle and she was named a hero.

The public never learned that she was with child. If it had, there would have undoubtedly been an uproar.

Still, she helped save the world that day.
