[You know you're having a very bad day when the person you'd used to murder a former coworkers suddenly reappears and slices off your hand while you're in the middle of a shoot out. That's an all around awful day.

What could make it worse? Probably glitching to be forty years older without warning and becoming that man missing an arm.

Which is how a 61 year old man comes to burst through the door of Ocelot's room in Rocket Headquarters. He's managed to get his trench coat off and wrapped around him but there's still blood everywhere.

[Once he gets that whole... arm thing settled, Ocelot makes himself at home by rapidly traveling to every single city he can to get a good grasp on the region. From his perspective, he'd spent the entire time in Goldenrod so he might as well make the most of it.

When he's sure no one is looking, he'll be trying to do his famous gun trick with his left hand. It doesn't go so well.

At least he isn't using the gun yet.]

Perhaps not. This place is quite different from the way things work in our world. Even other versions of Earth seem to vary in some way.

[As good of a bullshitter as Ocelot is, it's not like he can always pick up on baldfaced lies. For better or for worse, this is one of those things he isn't able to pick up on.]

It's called a Duskull. I would show you, but he was unhappy to see me earlier... the only other I have is called a "Cyndaquil." It's a small, porcupine looking animal that happens to have flames on its back instead of quills.

Really...? I wonder if someone could come from an alternate version of our world. Wouldn't that be interesting, finding out the little differences that make each world unique.

Given the sheer amount of other worlds that are represented here, I believe that is a possibility, though I have yet to meet anyone who would match that description.

I suppose this place doesn't quite have that sense of humor.

He did, however, get a ghost which is something else entirely. Still deliberately aimed at him nevertheless.]

There was at least one other. Perhaps more, but sometimes it can be difficult to tell.

I want to find out as much information on this place before we come to any major decisions.

That shouldn't be a problem.

This place has a dislike of conflict, but there are still ways it matches our world even if it is rather vague. Passing the time by having animals fight is a national sport instead of something considered disgusting by polite society, for instance.

You would think more people would be complaining about animal cruelty.

[He sighs and crosses his arms, pacing around as he usually does when he rambles on.]

The tameness of this place bores me. There must be some way to ... spice things up.

And yet they're not. Perhaps they're content with the way things are.

[Or maybe it's because the animals don't get horribly maimed, Ocelot. And can fight back if given orders they don't like.]

I'm sure you'll manage to find some way to make things heat up around here. I might even be able to help you find explosives.
