002 Shots Fired - action; FOURTH WALL
A, May 29
[You know you're having a very bad day when the person you'd used to murder a former coworkers suddenly reappears and slices off your hand while you're in the middle of a shoot out. That's an all around awful day.
What could make it worse? Probably glitching to be forty years older without warning and becoming that man missing an arm.
Which is how a 61 year old man comes to burst through the door of Ocelot's room in Rocket Headquarters. He's managed to get his trench coat off and wrapped around him but there's still blood everywhere.
Help? Maybe?]

[Once he gets that whole... arm thing settled, Ocelot makes himself at home by rapidly traveling to every single city he can to get a good grasp on the region. From his perspective, he'd spent the entire time in Goldenrod so he might as well make the most of it.
When he's sure no one is looking, he'll be trying to do his famous gun trick with his left hand. It doesn't go so well.
At least he isn't using the gun yet.]

[He slowly approaches him, eying Ocelot's arm. He has a hunch he knows what happened to Ocelot prior to them meeting. Perhaps it's best he doesn't reveal the future to the older man though.]

[His fate is ridiculous enough that he would probably think that Liquid was either lying or trying to make a joke if he told him, anyway.]
I was under the impression this place healed such injuries, however.

I have.
It wasn't as severe an injury as it could have been. Thankfully the cut was clean so it should heal. Perhaps after this strangeness is over with, my arm will heal as though I didn't lose it.

[Liquid smirks and folds his arms behind his back, doing his usual pacing as he speaks]
Hn. I assume about an hour or so. This place certainly is interesting, isn't it?

I was here briefly a long time ago. From my perspective, at the very least. I'm not certain how much time has passed here as it appears that very little has changed.
Were you given one of those creatures when you arrived?

[That's a complete lie. He's experienced it before but Ocelot doesn't need to know that either.]
And I did indeed acquire a "pokemon." It appears to be a lizard... but thankfully is far stronger than he looks.

[As good of a bullshitter as Ocelot is, it's not like he can always pick up on baldfaced lies. For better or for worse, this is one of those things he isn't able to pick up on.]
It's called a Duskull. I would show you, but he was unhappy to see me earlier... the only other I have is called a "Cyndaquil." It's a small, porcupine looking animal that happens to have flames on its back instead of quills.

This place has a dislike of conflict, but there are still ways it matches our world even if it is rather vague. Passing the time by having animals fight is a national sport instead of something considered disgusting by polite society, for instance.
